Free Downloadable Gaming Magazine
The magazine entitled HGM or Hardcore Gaming Magazine >_> is free to download or view in your web browser at this page. There are four issues so far (up to sept 2005) and I believe there will be two more. I'm downloading an issue now. They are about 20-30megs so you'll need a broadband connection and a lot of patience.^_^

UPDATE: Its awesome for a free mag but whether I'll get round to reading any of it on my computer is another matter. It has a retro section and a strategy guide section too which is great.
Real Life Pokemon
Loads and loads of animals photoshopped into pokemon fro a contest. Bizarre but cool.
This one of Cubone is especially awesome.

As is this one

P2P and Me
After feeling slightly guilty about pirating most of my PC games, I have decided to buy some instead, starting with Call of Duty 2. As for music I will continue to download my MP3s as I couldn't give a damn about the Music Industry. As for films and TV shows I am undecided but Anime is far too overpiriced for TV series for me to consider buying it so fansubs for me. Guiltyness over.^_^
My DeviantArt page
Its rather lacking in Art at the moment but I should add some more soonish
Call of Duty 2 Demo Impressions

After the first Call of Duty being one of my favourite PC games of all time I had high hopes for this demo and thankfully I wasn't disapointed. Although scripted in parts you still have that sense of teamwork and the reality of war that you felt in the first game. The health bar has gone and has been replaced with heavy panting and red flashes all around the screen to warn you of low health. If you take cover the health recharges a la Halo. Also the crosshair is only visible when you are still, this again adds to the sense of realism but makes shooting more difficult. The AI was noticeably smarter than the last game, when ducking enemies seek alternate routes rather than just popping there heads up and back in your line of sight. They also seem to use grenades a lot more than before as with melee attacks. Overall, the Call of Duty 2 Demo plays well but does not stray too far from the first game, which in my eyes is not a bad thing.
The Best of the Interweb
according to me

Get Firefox
Best browser in my opinion, fast, excellent pop up blocker and of course tabbed browsing. Combine with the fasterfox extension for extreme loading speeds.

Digg
An excellent site full of user posted sites, news articles and techie stuff.

Revo-Europe
4 Color Rebellion
My two favourite nintendo sites that aren't as mainstream as say IGN or Gamespot. Well written articles and reviews.

Anime NFO
encyclopedia of all things Anime with user reviews and episode guides. Excellent start for an Otaku who doesn't know where to start.

DeviantArt
Massive collection of user posted Art, skins, wallpapers and everything creative.

I will continue to update this post with other great sites that come to mind.

Research by Cambridge University about how we read. Try to read this text.
The results amazed me. Stolen from a blog called My Dirty Draws.
